my biggest piece of advice I give everyone is to use reference images. Gather images that represent what look you are going for and keep a library of them. I use PureRef for project based references to keep stuf that clients send me. For this image, I think the bump. Sand texture is too big, the grain size doesn’t look realistic to what a clay/terracotta material would look like.
